As well as directing York Musical Theatre Company’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Kathryn has played roles such as Sarah in Company, Miss Babs in Acorn Antiques and the monologue, Bed Among the Lentils.

Kathryn is delighted to be playing the role of Mrs Johnstone in the White Rose Theatre production of Blood Brothers: Play Version. And we’re delighted to have her on board!

You’ve probably seen Jeanette in one (or more) of her previous performances, including: Marie Hoff in Little Voice, Kath in Entertaining Mr Sloan, Celia in Calendar Girls and Hedy La Rue in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

 

We’re over the moon to have her in our incredible cast.

ryan richardson

Seasoned performer Ryan is super excited to be playing the role of Mickey in Blood Brothers: Play Version. 

His previous credits include: Collins in Rent, Mayor of Whoville in Seussical the Musical, Gavin in Dennis: A New Musical, Emo in Our House, The Beadle in Sweeney Todd, Hyde in Jekyll and Hyde, The Dentist in Little Shop of Horrors, Jimmy in Thoroughly Modern Millie and The Wolf in Into the Woods.

Multi-talented James isn't just an actor – he's also a Musical Director and theatre musician, playing piano, trombone and clarinet. He also teaches performing arts and is a professional author.

James' York theatre credits are: Mr Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors, Angel in Kinky Boots, Daddy Brubeck in Sweet Charity and Goran in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

Joy is an experienced actor and has played a wide variety of roles in York, including: Queen Elizabeth I in Shakespeare in Love, Mary Magdalene in the York Mystery Plays' The Appearance of Christ to Mary Magdalene in the Garden and Sister Berthe in The Sound of Music

Joy is very much looking forward to her first production with White Rose Theatre.

Neil trained at the Birmingham School of Speech Training and Dramatic Art. His professional work includes Bill Kenwright’s national tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat where he played Judah and the Butler.

Neil has also worked for a Murder Mystery company for 25 years. He has appeared at the York Theatre Royal in The Beggars Opera and Everything is Possible.

In the last three years, Neil has performed with the York Light Opera Company as Mr Bumble in Oliver, Peron in Evita, and most recently as Sweeney in Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd.

 

Neil is looking forward making his debut for White Rose Theatre.
