York Beethoven Project

The York Beethoven Project is a unique series of concerts performing Beethoven's Symphonies in order – starting with No. 1 in C Major Op. 21, which was performed on Saturday 23rd September 2023, and finishing with No. 9 in D Minor Op. 125 in 2027. Just in time for Beethoven's 200th anniversary!

​

Each concert will take place in a different York venue – and will be performed by local York-based musicians. 

​

Following the success of Symphonies No. 1 and No. 2, we're going even bigger for No. 3: Eroica.

​

The performance will include the White Rose Singers bringing you live renditions of songs from shows such as Les Miserables, West Side Story, Carousel and more - and a 40-piece orchestra will recreate Beethoven's Symphony No. 3, Eroica, in full.
